A slow modal waltz in the manner of Erik Satie: bass and chord swaying between two harmonies, a simple melody floating above.

How to practise it

- Left hand: the hand moves as a block by a fourth (D → G) keeping the 5-2-1 fingering. The left-hand bass on beat 1 is light, the chord even lighter. No loud dynamics: everything stays p , very legato, never hurried.
