How to practise it
- Listen first: the site plays it while the score scrolls.
- Wait mode: the score waits for you at every note, at your own pace.
- Tempo challenge: play in time, with a score and a map of the bars you got right.
- Bossa nova does not swing: even, very relaxed eighth notes. Left hand: “Doom . . da Doom . . da” — the single eighth anticipates the next note; do not accent it. The melody starts after an eighth rest: feel that small delay, it is what makes the music sway.
