Il pleut, il pleut, bergère (It Is Raining, Shepherdess)

A romance by Fabre d’Églantine (1780) to a tune by Louis-Victor Simon that became a children’s song: a storm is coming and the shepherdess brings in her sheep. An easy arrangement in F major: the right hand plays the tune, the left hand holds open fifths (root and fifth of each chord).
