A pentatonic piece played only on the black keys: no note can ever sound “wrong”. Calm open fifths in the left hand.

How to practise it

  • Listen first: the site plays it while the score scrolls.
  • Wait mode: the score waits for you at every note, at your own pace.
  • Tempo challenge: play in time, with a score and a map of the bars you got right.
  • Right hand: thumb on G♭, then one finger per black key (G♭, A♭, B♭, D♭, E♭). The five flats in the key signature turn every note into a black key: there is nothing else to read. Left hand: 5 and 1 together; keep the fifth shape and move it gently. Hold the pedal down for each bar: let the pond ring.
